Cat Dummy Board Cut Outs
Cat Dummy Board Cut Outs
Cat Dummy Board Cut Outs.
A cluster of cut out cats.
The most common collective noun for cats is a clowder. But you can also have a clutter, a pounce or a glaring!
Dummy boards were commonly used in the 18th and 19th centuries and were often placed in the fireplace or by the door.
These beauties have been cut by hand from thick, FSC certified mdf, before being painted and collaged with the paper cats. The images are sourced from vintage book plates and have been carefully selected, edited and enhanced to make these large cutouts.
Pop them on a shelf or by a door for the perfect trompe-l’oeil effect.
Each one has been given a coat of water-based varnish and a rear stabiliser to enable them to be freestanding. They are around 28cm in height.
The perfect companion.
