Tiny bud vase with robin
Tiny bud vase with robin
As Britain's favourite bird, the robin redbreast features in many sories and images. Folklore believes they are a signifier of those we have lost and many people take great comfort from the robins that visit their gardens. They're extremely territorial and will belt out their beautiful, fluid song to make their presence clearly known and to attract a mate.
This original ornament holds a single glass test tube to make a tiny, but perfect, bud vase. Ideal for holding a few small stems from the garden, or that single specimen bloom that you want to enjoy up close.
These bases are made from offcuts of reclaimed wood and therefore could be slightly different in size. Overall, approximately 10cm tall, to top of test tube, and 6cm wide.
The birds are adapted from vintage illustrations and are double sided to enable them to be enjoyed in the round. They are printed onto sustainable birch ply and laser cut in the UK.
The test tube should be taken out to fill with water. Flower stems are not included.
