Face detail - print on plaster.

I have been experimenting with prints on plaster for over thirty years and have recently developed a new technique that gives me a more reliable outcome that is producing some beautiful pieces.

This print is a detail from an old master painting that has been printed onto a unique plaster surface that has a precious fragility, giving the impression of a found relic.

Every plaster surface is individually cast and brings its own surface texture, edge details and imperfections that influence the print. Once printed, each piece is carefully hand tinted and enhanced where necessary before being sealed and mounted.

Mounting this piece onto a canvas enhances the sense of found treasure, a special fragment that has survived from the past.

This is a unique artwork and each one comes with a stamp of authentication. The item you receive will be the one shown in these photographs.
